Next button doesn't work immediately after quiz response

I'm creating an ungraded quiz where the user clicks the Submit button and a success or fail response appears, depending on their answer. To proceed to the next question, they should click the Next button, however they have to click twice before it jumps to the following slide. The first click clears the success/fail message off the screen. The second click (on the Next button) allows them to proceed. I don't need the success/fail message to disappear before proceeding. I just want them to jump directly to the next slide. Is there anyway to avoid clicking to clear the response?

I'm using Adobe Captivate 6.
