For anyone who locks their slides while using Adobe Captivate, this message is for you. As my ID teammate and I have discovered, you do not want to save your module with the first slide locked. Whenever you save your module with the first slide locked, close your project, then close Captivate, the next time you open Captivate and your module, your slide Properties Names will be gone. This also means your Advanced Actions will not work. In addition, any modules you open next will also have missing Names in the Properties panel. Any attempt to place a Name in the Properties panel will not be accepted in the slide. The only way to get around this bug, for now, is to make sure you unlock your first slide before you save the module.
Having chatted with Adobe this morning, it appears the problem has been officially upgraded from a "known issue" to a "bug" that they have their engineers looking into. Note: this bug has been found to affect multiple versions of Adobe Captivate, including versions 6 and 7. I look forward to the bug being resolved soon for both hard copy and subscription users.
Perhaps I should get a free upgrade for finding this pesky bug.
