Slide Quality & Transitions are now changing globally.

Whenever I change either the Slide Quality (from 8 bit to 24 bit) or add a Fade Transition to a slide, the change takes place on every slide in the project.  If I undo the change, all the other slides change as well.  Is there a "global" setting in the preferences that I am missing?

Captivate 6 64-bit.

Windows 7 64-bit.
