Controlling motion effect via button

Hello,

I am working on a project where I have a button that a user will click that will move an object on the screen. I am using an Advanced Action that adds the "Apply Effect" and motions it left to right. Everything is working great, except I would like to be able to control how far to the right the button moves upon click. Is that possible?

Also, is it possible to move the object to a specific X Y location via motion effects / button clicks?
