Captivate 7 issues with Trim function

I am using Captivate 7 (trial version) on a Macbook Pro to edit a video capture (Video Demo) of a drawing on a Wacom tablet. No audio, just the drawing.  It is taking 5 - 10 minutes for Captivate to process a 1 - 5 second trim.  Obviously that is unacceptable.  This happens regardless of whether or not I am using a second monitor.

The video was recorded by selecting Record Application. Using a Wacom table with Sketchbook Pro. 

Ideas?
