Hello,
I'm brand new to Captivate, working with Captivate 7. I'm making a presentation for internal use. Have looked at umpteen tutorials but still not finding how to do a few things.
1. I want to display a list of items on the left, and when you click on one of them a window appears on the right with text/graphics/audio. This is similar to rollover slidelet, but I want it to happen on click rather than rollover. I'd like the window to stay up until the user clicks on another item, and then new text/graphics/audio would replace the old ones. I don't know if this should be done via a button? Any help is appreciated, pointing me to the correct tutorial would be excellent as well.
2. I've made a drag and drop interaction. It seems to be working well, but I once you drag the object to the correct target, I want it to disappear. I haven't been able to figure out how to do that.
3. I have a series of slides with a graphic on the left and on the right are two "labelled buttons" (not sure if these should actually be buttons in Captivate), I'll call them A and B. The user is asked to identify whether the graphic is A or B by clicking on the correct button. Ideally, once they click they get text and audio feedback, and then they click the arrow in the playback controls to go to the next screen.
I know this is probably super simple to do, but I can't get it right. My latest attempt is both A and B are buttons, and they each have Success captions only, so clicking on either one gives feedback. But doing this the feedback doesn't stay onscreen, and it allows them to then click the other option and get that feedback; I want them to just choose one option, get their feedback which remains on the screen, then click the playback controls to go to the next screen. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
If you have any ideas/suggestions/tutorials that would help me, I'd be eternally grateful.
Lynn
