I currently am having an issue with Captivate and publishing. Here are my versions: Captivate 6.0.1.240, Windows 7, Adobe Reader 11.0.03 , Adobe Flash Player 12 ActiveX.
My issue is when I publish my files I publish into a PDF format as well as SCORM. When I attempt to open the PDF I get the message below. (To view the Flash technology content in this PDF file, please install the required version of Flash Player)
So far I have figured out that the problem has occurred because the company I work for has updated everyone to Adobe Reader 11 and Adobe Flash 12. As this did not occur when we were using Adobe Reader 9. The real issue is I post these PDF online classes on our intranet site for our entire department (800 people or so) to use for training purposes. I have found that if you use Adobe Reader 9 they still work but unfortunately they are not going to downgrade the entire department for some online classes.
I have attempted publishing the files to all versions of flash in the publish settings and I get the same result.
I did find another post that coincided with my issue. I attempted the hot fix from this forum and it did not work. (Forum - http://forums.adobe.com/message/5294622) (Hot fix - http://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/kb/captivate-swf-doesnt-play-acrobat. html)
My question is has this issue been resolved and if so what can I do to resolve it for my department. If it has not been resolved, does Captivate 7 have this same issue? If I update will I continue having this problem?
