I'm using Captivate 7 for a current client project. This company has traditionally been doing face to face classroom training so this is their first venture into the eLearning world. They normally use a good amount of videos in their classroom training so some of these videos will be used in the eLearning course. The project sponsor asked me about editing the videos (which we were going to do anyway), and during the edits how much it should be compressed so it will be optimized for the course.
Video compression rates are definitely not my specialty so I don't know if there's a standard answer (I'm guessing not), or if there are guidelines to use when trying to figure out the compression ratio (e.g. file type, file size, etc..). Also worth asking, is it best to just leave the video as is, and do the editing work in Captivate 7? Any advice you can give is appreciated. Thanks.
