To be specific - we are creating elearning for software training and simulations using using Captivate 6. The client uses Citrix and their IT infrastructure manager has flagged the potential slow response from Citrix if the files are streamed from the central server. He is suggesting that the Captivate videos be downloaded to local resources but this would mean that any tracking from the LMS would be lost.
Any suggestions/experience of:
a) enhancing streaming - ie does filetype export for html5 rather than swf improve this?
b) is there an optimum limit to size of each Captivate file we should aim for?
c) are there functions that should be avoided when creating the video?
d) if demonstration element was downloadable but assessment element was still centrally hosted, are there any forms of assessment that should be avoided with regard to performance issues?
Thanks
