Using Adobe Captivate 2019 I selected the Content 06 slide. I deleted the objects I did not need but these circles (forgot what I call them but I used to see them all the time during my Flash days), remain on the stage. Does anyone know why they are there?

I'm working on a course for a client with a lot of text entry boxes and it's a long course, so the learner may not finish in one session. In our test LMS, the answers in the text entry boxes are retained as long as the learner stays in the session. However, if the learner exits the course and later goes back to any of the pages with text entry boxes that they had previously answered, their answers are no longer there. Any suggestions? I have the option to "Retain Text" in the properties checked and Self-Paced Learning and Enable Navigation checked in the TOC settings. The course does resume where the learner left off, but as mentioned, if they revisit any text entry slides, they have to reenter their answers. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
How do you know who is taking the quiz? IS there a way to enter your name or an ID number or something?

Is there a way to store quiz results to a MySQL database or do we need to use some third party LMS?
Is it possible to show the score of a question along with the question? For example, 'This question is worth 5 out of 100 points'?

I'm trying to create a quiz with an interactions, radio button. So, I put everything: image on the background, the interaction "radio button", input the texts and when I publish, the text of options just appear cutted. I'v tried everything to fix this, but i just don't know how! Following some prints of the problem. Someone can help me?

Is it possible to set a max time limit to complete an entire quiz or is it just timed per question? Also can total duration be shown and stored in the test results?

Does Captivate just not work with a "high-density" screen resolution?
Do I have to change my screen resolution in order for Captivate to display correctly?
If so, that is a definite show-stopper for me.
When I open a Captivate project, a .cpl file is generated in the same folder as that project's .cptx file (e.g., If I create or open Captivate project named MyProject, the file ~MyProject.cplis generated in the same directory). When I close that file, the .cpl file goes away, indicating it is some sort of temporary file. The file type for these files is Control panel item. However, I have found a number of .cpl files even when I don't have Captivate open--perhaps because I deleted a .cptx file or a .cptx somehow got corrupted. So I wind up with a number of apparently orphaned .cpl files in my project folders.
While I'd like to know what these files are and why they're created, my main question is if I can delete these "orphan" .cpl files without any negative consequences.

When the Captivate „title page” appears, a moment later the following message pops up: „Theme file copying failed. Try manually copying Adobe Captivate theme files from /Applications/Adobe Captivate 2019/Gallery/Layouts/11_0/en_US to /Users/test/Documents/My Adobe Captivate Projects/Layouts/11_0/en_US”. When I click OK for a moment Captivate screen appears, with a choice of recent files (Sample Projects, all of them). Than the application crashes. Of course I did the copying - nothing. Reinstalled Captivate - still the same effect. Have the latest version, paid monthly (not trial), on Mac. Can someone help?

When I preview inserted video it plays correctly, ie in correct alignment when I preview the Project from within Captivate.
However when I publish the project into SCORM 1.2 file the video plays back incorrectly, ie sideways.
I note when I insert the video file initially it is in a side on position (not sure if it relates to how the video was actually captured originally) but I have changed the alignment to 90 degrees within options.

I want to import a PPT file in Captivate and keep the animations that are in the Powerpoint
There are simple text animations - one paragraph appears after the other.
However, once I import the PPT in Captivate The second paragraph does not appear.
Is there some special settings I need to do to be able to see the animations in PPT?

Hello,
I have created a course wherein I created custom navigation buttons to move forward & backward.
While visiting the first time course is working perfect, I kept the restart button at the end, when I click on it to revisit the module, it's moving up to 2nd slide after that the navigation buttons are not responding (not taking to resultant slide).

Current issue is that jaws will not read my text captions on my slide until I click on the slide. Shouldn't it automatically read the text captions? Especially if there are no interactive objects on a slide?

I'm having an issue with my quiz questions being cut off after being published. They look fine in the preview mode but once published they are cut off either not displaying all of the question (cutting off a few words) or cutting the line of text horizontally through the middle of the first line. I have resized the windows but that doesn't fix the problem. Anyone have ideas on how to fix this?

Hi there, I am creating a software simulation slide on an existing blank project (not a responsive project), with a video demo setting. In the video editing mode, I can add a zoom with a transition to the zooming in. However, when I try to zoom out again to view the whole screen, the transition does not register -i.e. it is completely abrupt in preview mode. I have tried changing transition time, say from 0.5 sec to 1 sec with no luck. Anyone know how to solve this issue?
Does anyone know of a publishing issue with Captivate 2019 lessons that use a question bank? I normally publish to HTML and lessons without QBs work just fine. But ones with QBs apparently must be published to SWF in order to work. When I publish to HTML, the browser just spins.
I haven't been able to find any documentation that specifies Flash is required for publishing with question banks. IS this the case, or is it a Captivate glitch?

I have a client that is having a weird issue. Her quiz results page shows zeros for her score and accuracy. That's not possible in this course as you have to answer correctly to even get to the end.
The course has been taken by hundreds of people. This is the first time I have seen this.
She said she tried it in Chrome too.
Any ideas??
